Von Dutch's XAVW

In the article Von Dutch mentions that his sidecar for the XAVW is under construction. He built the sidecar when he was in Calabasas with the intention of having his horse ride round in it with him. Well..... it didn't work, and that's when Dutch got so pissed off that he took the XAVW and completely dismantled it leaving it piled up in a corner of his workshop.
Ed Roth later ended up with the XAVW after doing a deal with Dutch for $1500 (or a couple of vintage outboard motors, depends on who's telling the story)

A day out at the sea side saw me and Lee strapping this old bus to the back of a low loader, the car was owned from new by a lady who insisted on keeping the car under a tree on her drive from what seems like day one! 50k and FSH on the 1.3C clocks, 99% rust free, it's all og - dealer number plates and all that jazz. Interior's pretty near perfect, mats over mats and rolling on her E30's ;)

Just a special mention for good friend and Wackeldackel member Lee Morgan - cars like his rarely feature on here due to the more vintage content but i think you'll agree Lee's made a mighty fine job with the addition of the Rotiforms and the og plaid Scirocco trim. 3-2-1...Deins
